I have had the Blue Tooth model. I want3ed the simplicity of this one that does not use wireless. Interesting. It sat in the box on my desk for a couple of days. Opened it and the time was still set. Guess that answered my question about loosing setting during POWER OUT. I configured it at my desk, unplugged it and plugged it in outside where it will run my Christmas lights. After I re-plugged it in, all the settings remained. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
